And so this is Christmas and please remember a dog is for life not just for Christmas, this is very very important do please take notice of our little rant here as it could save some poor little pets a lot of sorrow they don’t deserve.
While we fully expect most people to say we know this already it doesn’t hurt at this time of year to remind everyone how easy it is to buy a pet at leisure and then regret for ever with some sad pooch on the receiving end of poor treatment that is most often not done intentionally.
Intentional pet abusers are best reported to the R.S.P.C.A and let them have the full force of the law brought down on them, no this little post is just trying to get you to think about the consequences of pet and in particular dog ownership.
We see every day in the news stories of well-intentioned dog owners who fall on to hard time through no fault of their own especially in today’s financial climate and it kills us when we hear of dogs taken somewhere they don’t know and just left to roam on their own.
With the cost of putting a pet to sleep so high these days when you can no longer afford to look after them then it can seem an attractive way out we fully understand this. That’s why we try to get people to be absolutely sure they have the time money and inclination to keep a pet before buying one.
We also know how hard it is to resist when children beg and beg for you to let them have a dog for Christmas. Anyway rant over thanks for reading this.
